Well done to Angelica and Misa for being nice to this biggy reporter and getting mentions in this Virtual world news report!

Raglan Shire's mention comes in at about 7'50"ish.

She bought a Wynx grey cat so the bunneh wasn't the reporter.

So many peoples were there talking to her -there was a mini swarm of folks about her! I guess tho in the interest of keeping the segment short she couldn't mention all the names since there so many.

I think was a really good segment from mainstream-type news. I've seen a lot more biggies around the shire this past week so I think it's helping to get word out about raglan - which is great! If we were the largest group in SL the grid would rock.

It very strange to me that they imitate RL news show which imo are boring. BUT maybe they get inspired by tinies to think out of the tv box? I think the news they had was interesting, and I actually learned stuff by watching the whole thing. Plus too they had neat accents =)

that was cute but ya, i dont get why the verbatim recreation of a real life news cast in a virtual world. seems so... i dunno. Still kudos to their effort Smiley

This reminds me that we had an idea for doing a Raglan newscast (but tiny crazy version.. you know we take basic idea and then SPOOF it to holy hell) over 2 years ago before the Wharf was actually the wharf and we had this big tower where the coastal fortress is. We had a huge area in side we were gonna use for a machinima style studio. Awor had built a News Set with desk for tiny news anchors to sit and cameras and a weather map area and on the front it said "The RALGAN NEWS"  (ya he mispelled Raglan.. see wot i talkin bout doing it tiny style? LOL)  we were gonna do lil newscasts featuring the community but like so much else, it kinda fell by the wayside..  hmm maybe we need to ressurect the idea and show em how to really do a virtual newscast XD

Wow that a great idea!! I totally want in on that. Tongue If it had specific weekly time, would give me a scheduled reason to make me log in.

Having a machinima studio would be good idea also if we opened it up for anyone to use, except at specific times when the Ralgan News Crew would be using it. Could have a "green screen" area and some basic props set up someplace or something?

The biggies couldn't find better sit animations?  Eeek.  I KNOW there are better ones out there for biggies - more professional, less fidgety.

I know, that's a really weird thing for me to focus on, but there you are.

OMG I was distracted by that too! Especially the one that kept adjusting her glasses - when she wasn't wearing any! XD

So who the Raglan news crew? Can I be a guest reporter? Can we have microphones and do on-location reporting with cute newsy animations? Cheesy

Bumping this! I think it's a great idea, though would be heavy on the prims if we had a prop area. Though everyone could offer one prop and then we could box them up and have them for people buy for 0L. Same with the green screen. It's dead simple, just a bright green/blue flat prim on full bright. That's all you need Smiley

The news room is def a great idea. I'd love to write some of the news for those, I have a really random sense of humour and wrote some newspaper front pages with my sister when we were a bit younger that are absolutely hiliarious. Oh please please please! *gets scribbling*
