Thank you for all the hard work you put into this for tinies Tapple. I know how hard you worked on it and I'm sure we'll all enjoy it. I will try and make your class Smiley

After teaching a class using SafetyPin, I'm certain enough of it's stability to declare it stable. version 0.1.0 is out. it's exactly the same as beta 5, but it's no longer beta. Thank you everybody who tried it before and helped it reach this point.

New release: 0.1.1. This version listens for the chat command "/74safetypinclean" and removes all the safetypin scripts in your stuff when you say it. Handy for not having to hunt down all the scripts if you  duplicate an object and end up with the script in every prim (like I tend to do)

(not that the script does anything wrong when it's in every prim, other than consume unnecessary sim memory)

New Release: 0.1.2. Now with more ferret.
Use it to help you make clothes and such for Wynx quad ferrets and otters.

I dunno if you guys wanna keep up when I update this thing. I'm posting updates here for now, but don't know how many people keep up. I could make an SL group and post notices and offer support thru group chat, but don't know how many of you want another group. I could make a subscribomatic to send out updates on, but I'd need someone to volunteer their shop space as I have no land of my own. I added a poll to this topic

If you'd like to see several options, put your #1 preference in the poll and reply with all your preferences

The updates in the near future will just be me adding to the list of supported avatars. Based on your feedback and just how long it takes me to measure an avatar for SafetyPin, I don't plan to change the codebase in the near future. The next feature I wanted to add was programmability (meaning: add your own shape to SafetyPin), but given that it takes me 3 hours to measure an avatar, it will probably take you guys a lot longer, and you probably don't want to do that. So if there is an avatar you really want SafetyPin to support, IM me and we can work something out. The next shapes I plan to release are, roughly in order:
1. Wynx Tiny Pony
2. Hoof it Horse
3. Fizzlepops
4. Zig tinies
5. Tao tinies

(if you really do want to learn how I measure avatars for safetypin, I can try putting together a video tutorial. I don't want to be the producer and you guys consumers; I'd really like this to be an open project. I just think it's currently too hard to measure an avatar, and I'd like to make it much much easier first)

Updates here works for me Tapple. I check forum daily if i get online for whats new and your safetypin is so great i clicked the post right away.  It should reach the folks who are interested in things like this.  Word should get around to others through the usual chitter and folks talking to you in the sillycube.  But technical details, most people who are into that, read forums.

well, I dunno if anybody wanted it, but I made an in-world group to get help with safetypin as well as other stuff I plan to make for avatar makers, modders, and animators. My next couple projects will be aimed more at animators than clothesmakers and modders, but you can keep up them anyway if you want. The name is Tavatar Support Group, and you can join it in my profile. If you really like safetypin, it has a "SafetyPin User" tag you can ask me for

Most people might do like i do Tapple and click " Show unread posts since last visit"  I didn't see the poll until i went up to the top of the page to go on to look for the next topic.  I don't know if there's a way to "bump" the poll itself so people see it.

There isn't... adding a poll is considered as modifying a post by the forum software, and thus the topic won't be bumped. The best way to draw attention to it is opening a new topic with the poll right in it  Smiley

Hey Tinies,

Look up to the top of the page and take the poll please.
I took it when it first came out (I think) and just ONE other tiny took it?

New release: 0.1.3. This has a new shape: Wynx Pony (the bigger one). It also should be a lot less laggy in the classroom; I improved its smartness when there are many posestands around. Also hopefully fixes a bug where position is occasionally forgotten on detatch (eek)
